Aloha and welcome to the new home page for DA Church. We are a Fellowship of Christ International church and are located in the beautiful town of Kurtistown, Hawaii. Our Senior Minister is Bishop Dr. Charles E. Sanders, Jr.
In Hawaii, many people have become totally frustrated with most churches because of denominationalism. Since the Fellowship of Christ International is an interdenominational Christian Church and to better reach the people in need of a place for worship and fellowship, it was decided by the Hawaiian congregation that a neutral name that the people could relate to be adopted. The Hawaiian word for "the" is "da." Hence our church in Hawaii uses the name of DA CHURCH, meaning, The Church. This is a name that implies exactly what this is, the Church, and also ties it traditionally with the native language and people of Hawaii.
