From a sermon given on 12 May 2024:
And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.
(1 Samuel 14:6)
At this time in history the Israelites were living in great fear. They were vastly out - numbered and out- armed by the Philistines. The majority of them were hiding in caves, in thickets, in rocks and in holes and in pits and without any arms ( 1Sa 13:6). King Saul , with an army of six hundred were at Gibeah .Jonathan with his armor - bearer decided to take the battle to the Philistines. He decided that it was not a time to sit back, but a time to fight for the kingdom. That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armor bearer made was about twenty men within about a half an acre of land. And as Jonathan and his servant attacked and defeated the outpost, an earthquake began and God sent the Philistines into a panic. King Saul and the Israelites army joined and routed the Philistines.
Nothing can keep God from saving , whether by few or many. The situation you are facing may be described as "impossible". Like the Israelites army, you may be "hiding" away from the current challenge because you are outnumbered, out - armed and lack capacity , resources etc. For us to do the seemingly impossible things, we need faith like that of Jonathan. It's time for you to do what is in your heart. God is right there with you and your first step will cause a "earthquake" in the enemy's territory. You will divinely overcome every challenge in Jesus name !

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
(Ecclesiastes 9:11)
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
