In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(John 1:1, KJV)

There is a lot of confusion out there as to what exactly the Holy Trinity, the Divine Triune Godhead is. There is of course no real confusion. The Trinity is per of the easiest concepts taught in the Bible to understand.

The cults, false religions. And haters of Christianity, try to flutily attack, belittle, and destroy the Trinity. Because it goes against their false teachings. It represents a Biblical TRUTH they cannot grasp because of their false teachings, belieefs, anbd practices.

For example, one false religion has even changed what the Bible says about the Divinity of Christ. They have changed John 1:1 to read:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god." (New World Translation).

You can see the addition there. The slipped in the word "A", which is not supposed to be there. They have erroneously translated a diphthong, a symbol in Greek, as a word. The fact is, that a diphthong is not a word. It is what I call for simplicities’ sake, a placement vowel, and is never to be translated as a word. Any first-year student of the Greek language knows this.

Further down in the same chapter of the Book of John, we additionally find:

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14, KJV).

These individuals and groups will tell you that by believing in the Trinity, it crates a polytheism, but that is not true. By changing the wording in the Bible as they do they are creating a polytheism. Which completes goes again all that the Holy Bible teaches us. The Bibel teaches in ONLY one God. Here are just a few of the many examples that you will find in the Bible:

Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God…Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
{Isaiah 44:6, 8).

Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
(Isaiah 43:10)

In Jesus' own words we are told:

I and my Father are one.
(John 10:30, KJV)

Many will argue that Christ was not referring to Himself as deity, but that He is referring to the authority and power He represents. But that is simply not true. There is not even a hint of that.

Now here is a question for you. Was Jesus a good man? In reality there is only one answer, YES!

Again, let's look at the words of Christ. He tells us:

....there is none good but one, that is, God.
(Mark 10:18, KJV)

We know this is true because the Bible is NEVER wrong and Christ does not lie. So, if only God is good and we know Christ was and is good, then the only logical conclusion is that He is God.

Here is one last verse from the Bible you need to see. The Bible couldn’t make it any clearer:

For there are three, which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.
(1 John 5:7, GNV)

Still trying to grasp the factual concept of the Trinity? Here is something that may make it perfectly clear to you. I was speaking with a group of six and seven year olds one time and I gave this example and they fully understood what most adults could not.

On one of your hands, take any three fingers, and name these fingers God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three fingers represent the three parts of the Trinity. They are three separate fingers, yet still part of one hand at the same time. So, it is with the Trinity. There are three parts, but of the One True God at the same time. Here is a diagram of what I mean:
