From a sermon given on 09 March 2025:
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
(Proverbs 14:17)
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife
If you keep your cool in difficult situation, you manage to remain calm. If you lose your cool, you get angry or upset. "Nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain cool and unruffled under all circumstances." (Thomas Jefferson)
Keeping cool can actually save you a lot of unprecedented trouble. Remaining composed is what proves that you are in a normal stature and you can make good, informed and timely decisions. Keeping cool and especially when under extreme provocation can make difficult situations go way smoother for you.p> When you are ticked off , first detach from the heat of the provocation. You can pause a bit and reframe whatever is happening in a positive light. Always be sensitive to triggers and learn how to avoid them. Always take a few deep breaths and think before you act. Don't forget the old trick of counting from 1...10 before uttering a word or taking any action. (Anonymous)
