This week marked the passing of the Catholic Church leader, Pope Francis. It is now too late for him, but it is not too late for you. You still have some time. But how much time no one can tell you, so you should act as soon as you can, Delaying too long can prove to be eternally regretful.

Pope Francis tried to reach out and help millions. He adamantly followed and taught and believed Catholic doctrine, and as such was never Born-Again, never knew Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, and was NOT found in the Lamb's Book of Life. He has learned the hard way that you cannot earn salvation on your own, or by following the teachings and doctrines of a specific Church or religion. That for all of his years of service to the Catholic Church and all of the good he did, it all amounts to nothing in the end. He is now paying for it and will be doing so throughout eternity.

It's too late for Pope Francis, nothing can ever change his eternal situation now. It is not too late for you. You must know and acknowledge that Jesus and Jesus alone is the one and only way to salvation (John 14:6). We are all sinners and fall short of God's Glory (Romans 3:32; Romans 3:10). That no amount of good works or good deeds can save us (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). We are not saved by following the dictates or teachings of any specific Church or religion (Romans 4:9-15). That salvation comes by faith, and faith alone, in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The Words of Jesus Himself tell us: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20).

Jesus is standing there right now knocking at your door. Are you going to let him in? Don't put it off until later because you never know how long you have or if you will have a later. You can step outside and be hit by a car or a stray bullet fired by some street punk. You can slip and fall down the steps and break your neck. You may even have a heart attack.

Now is the time. Do you want to receive salvation and eternal life? Do you want your name recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life? If yes, then sincerely repeat this prayer (either out loud or to yourself):

"Dear God, I know I'm a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Saviour and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."

If you just did that and were sincere, then congratulations. You are now saved and Born-Again. Your name is now in the Lamb's Book of Life, and no one and nothing can ever change that.
