From a sermon given on 04 May 2025:
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
(Luke `8:4-5)
Consistency means persistence, not compromising, free from distractions, resolute. Spiritual consistency develops routine and builds momentum – it forms habits. It becomes a source of encouragement to us and even to people around us. This principle is applicable in anything and everything we lay our hands on.
Jesus told a parable of unrighteous judge, who did not fear God nor have any regard for man. Yet there was a widow who went to him and requested to be vindicated against her enemies. "For awhile, the judge refused to avenge her. But because of her consistency , the unrighteous judge finally gave in and avenged her lest by her continued coming , she would wear him out!"
Consistent practices like prayer , fasting , attending fellowships, Bible study etc creates a foundation for our spiritual lives and helps us to navigate challenges with wisdom and discernment . It makes us to become more attuned to His voice and direction, allowing us to walk in His plans and purposes.
