DO YOU KNOW THE ONE REQUIREMENT FOR SALVATION?

Well, do you? Before you say "faith", it is not faith. This comes before faith and comes before all else. Without this there can be no faith. And without it, everything else is meaningless. It is the simplest thing you can do, yet without it there is no salvation. Need a cluse?

Jesus Himself tells us that:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
(John 6:47)

Elsewhere in the Bible we find:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(John 3:15-16)

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
(1 John 5:13)

jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
(John 11:25-26)

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
(Acts 16:31)

This is the running theme throughout the New Testament. The one keyword that all of these verses have in common, which is also the one thing required for salvation that all else comes from: BELIEVE.

Without belief there is no faith. Without faith there is no receiving grace:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

Yes, it is that simple, BELIEVE. So many churches make it so difficult. They require you to participate in various rituals. Come to Church regularly for a specific amount of time. Doing numerous good deeds. Being baptized into their church, and so on. None of these will get you anywhere without belief. What many churches would have us do, falls under the category of works, and are contrary to the one-word Jesus emphasized to us: BELIEVE.

The Apostle Paul tells us the following about works:

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(Galatians 2:16)

By believing, you produce faith, and faith will bring us to repentance and salvation.

Christ tells us:

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
(Revelation 3:20)

He is there now knocking at the door, are you ready to open the door and invite Him in?
