SCRIPTURE LESSON OF THE WEEK - 2014

06 January 2014

The way the world is today, it seems that at every turn there is something out there trying to attack your belief in God and make you doubt all that you know to be true. Unfortunately too many listen to the world and turn their backs on God and on His teachings. They have rejected righteousness and purity and elected to follow the evil the world is offering in place of truth. God and God alone and His Word are the Truths that we, as Christians, are to follow and teach to those lots in the world. We are to go forth boldly and have no doubt in God or in His teachings.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
James 1:6

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Matthew 21:21

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Matthew 14:31

It seems as if no one cares anymore. No one has respect for other or their property. All they seem to care about is themselves. For example, people driving their cars and just pulling in front of other cars with no warning and causing accidents then making comments like, “Oh well the insurance company will take care of it.” Or they go onto another’s property, go around the fences and cause damage to the property. When confronted they something like, “I didn’t know the property belonged to anyone.” This lack of respect and responsibility comes from the teachings of the world. The world is teaching everyone to go out there and do what you want, get what you want, and don’t worry about the consequences. The world also has this same attitude towards God, if He loves you then He will understand you. And one of the biggest lies of the world, Jesus is not the only way to salvation, he is but one of the many ways to receive eternal life. He will let you into heaven no matter what? Really, where in the Bible is this found? The Bible clearly spells this out as open rebellion against God and against His teachings.

We are to reject the ways of the world. We are to follow the teachings and ways of God. We are to go forth teaching the Word of God and share with others what God has for them, far better than what the world has to offer. We are to care for one another and take responsibility for our actions.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Corinthians 3:19

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

There are many who claim their actions are for the good and that they support morality and decency. They have done many good works, yet some of what they teach is completely against the teachings of the Bible. The push the evil the Bible warns us about as being good, natural, and normal. How is it that good can teach evil as being wholesome and reject real Biblical teachings? It can’t. If something is of God, then it will follow God’s teachings and promote God above all else. It will not corrupt God’s teaching nor compromise on Biblical principles. Only evil can promote that which is against God and is evil. No matter what evil may call itself or how much it may sugarcoat its real intensions, evil is still evil! Evil has been and always will be rebellion and rejection of God.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
3 John 1:11

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 4:17

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
Proverbs 24:1

Many people worry about the slightest little thing. Most of the time it is something unimportant or trivia. Sometimes they worry so much that it starts stressing them out and making them feel sick. Not only is worry harmful for the body but for the spiritual body as well. As Christians, we must remember that God is in total control of everything, and if we trust in Him, He will see to all our needs, do what is best for us, and see to it that we can accomplish all things through Him, according to His will. If we trust in Him, then we have nothing to worry about. Cast all your worries on Him and let Him take control. When god is in control, you have nothing to worry about.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?... And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:… Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Matthew 6:25-26, 28, 30

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7

03 February 2014

There are many who say they are not a Christian and they are not for the God of the Bible or Christ, but at the same time they say neither are they against Him or Christ. They have, in their minds, taken the safe place and stayed in the middle. They feel this way no matter what is true, that they are assured safety. They have no real idea of what they are dong. Numerous times in the Bible we are told that if you are not for Christ, then you are against Him, no middle ground. This is recorded several times in the Gospels because of the important and eternal consequences of taking the middle ground. You are either for Christ, or you are against Him. There is No middle ground, there is no refusing to take sides. This is what the Bible refers to as the unforgiveable sin, rejecting Christ. You have up until the moment of your death or the second of Christ’s Return to decide. But since no one knows when either will be, now is the time to make your decision. Now is the time to decide what side you will be on and who you will follow. By waiting too long you will be sealing your own doom. Choose now and do not take a middle ground, for there really is no middle ground!

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Matthew 12:30-31

He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
Luke 11:23

10 February 2014

Whenever the weather gets warmer or colder we see the nuts and false teachers and prophets coming out of the woodwork. When snow is on the ground we hear screams of global cooling. When the weather gets warm we hear yells of global warming. All of the groups that carry on with these notions are in error and both are guilty of creating fear and panic, and many of them are guilty of making lots of money off of this nonsense. No matter what they say or do and now matter how hard they yell, they cannot change a thing. Neither side acknowledges God and His power and control over everything. God knows what He is doing and has His reasons for doing and allowing things to go as they do. God’s Word, The Holy Bible, tell us that in the last days that we would see many “fearful sights and great signs.” These Biblical signs will not be clearly understandable or explainable by mere mortal men. They will come up with many theories and lame excuses to try to explain them, but still deny God is behind them. We see unusual snow and ice and rain storms. Earthquakes and volcanic activity has increased. We see other unusual “Natural” phenomenon taking pace and still everyone does not acknowledge God. As long as man does not repent and turn back towards God, these signs from God will continue and get stronger and stronger. No matter what science, the news, or anyone else says to try to explain them, know that God is behind it and in control of it. Yes the world has something to fear. But those of us who are saved, who have been born-again and washed clean in the Blood of Christ, we have nothing to fear, for God has promised to watch over and protect us.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:11

And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
Revelation 16:21

Many people, including many Christians, have the erroneous idea that no matter what they are doing or where they are at, that God will miraculous remove them from any sign of danger or harm and bring them to safety. They have the assumption that if they deliberately place themselves into harm’s way that God will protect them. God does NOT want us to deliberately put ourselves into harm’s way. God does not want us to tempt fate or to test God Himself. Any of these actions contradict what God has told us not to do, and as such, are considered sin. We must put ourselves above such unbiblical ideas and do the things that God wants us to do.

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Luke 4:12

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Matthew 4:7

Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God…
Deuteronomy 6:16

Many people in today’s society seem to have things that are more important than serving God. They will make a commitment to attend church, or a church function or program, or a training program. It could even be a commitment for some other function. They don’t attend or follow through because they have things that they deem as more important than God. Some have decided to go on a ski trip, other decided it was more important to go hunting, or to sleep in, and so on. These are just lame excuses for being lazy and not following through or doing something they promised to do. By putting things above God, they are rejecting God and serving another master, these people have turned their backs on God and are guilty of violating what His Word, the Holy Bible teaches us. They need to repent, turn away the false gods and idols they have put in place of God, and come back to God and His will for them.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:24

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:3

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me
Isaiah 45:5

Whenever some form of adversity or a problem comes into the life of a Christian, many begin to question where God is and why this is happening to them? Some will even wonder if they did something wrong and if God is doing this to punish them.

We must remember that no matter what, God is always in control and that He has promised us that He will never allow more than we can handle to come our way. We must always trust in God and follow His teachings and guidance as found in the Bible. God allows things to confront us at times as a way of teaching us a lesson or preparing us for something in the future. No matter what, we must always trust in God and follow His direction. He has only the best for us, and through Him we can overcome all things in our way.

…he [God] hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

10 March 2014

The world claims that all Christians must have blind faith and believe that only through blind faith do we receive salvation. In actuality God does not want us to have blind faith. God wants us to come to Him with our eyes wide-open. He wants us to understand what we believe and why we believe it. He wants us to question and verify the truth in what we are told in Church and even what we hare from the pulpit. God does not want blind followers. God wants His People to come to Him with their eyes wide-open and understand what it is they believe. He wants His people to question what they do not understand and learn more of His ways and His teachings and put it all into practice.

…in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6

17 March 2014

So many people see how crazy the world is getting to be and how much crazy it is getting every day. They are so worried and concerned about all of these things and what they would do if the same thing happens where they live. They also see evil running rampant and those who speak about this evil being ridiculed and called names. All of these things and burden their daily lives and the more they swell upon them they become more and more stressed out. So much so that they are feeling sick and uneasy and have problems sleeping and even relaxing.

We must remember that God is in control of everything. The world may think that they are in control, but this is a false illusion on their part for rejecting God and His Word. We must always look to God and cast all of our burdens and cares upon Him. By relying upon God, He will take away all of our worries and put our hearts at ease and give us His peace, a peace that goes beyond anything we can experience on our own.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee…
Psalm 55:22

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7

24 March 2014

There are many who have the erroneous notion that to get ahead, God will understand if they compromise on Biblical teaching. This is also the attitude of political parties and many so-called Christian owned businesses. They believe that to get anything done, that you must compromise on some things, including Biblical teaching and core beliefs, to get what you want done. This same ideology has even found its way into the Church itself. Many churches are compromising on Biblical teachings, teachings that come from God Himself, to get more people to come to their church and programs. All of these people and organizations believe that God will understand. The problem is, that God is completely against compromise. He will understand yes, that those who compromise are violating His Word and what He has told us to do. When one compromise is made, it will lead to another and yet another, until all you believed in and stood for is gone. God has commanded us to make NO compromise on any of His teachings. The notion that some things must be compromised on to get other things done is pure rubbish. It is a sacrifice of God’s Word and what it stands for. We must never compromise on Biblical teaching no matter what. How can those who compromise be a good example of God to the world? They can’t be. They are showing the world that they are weak and willing to go back on what they believe. As Christians we must stand firm and NEVER compromise on God’s Word!

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Hebrews 10:26

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Romans 12:2-5

31 March 2014

There are many around the world that have rejected God and rejected His Word, the Holy Bible. Whenever they hear someone mention God or the Bible they are so quick to attack and try to discredit them. It is amazing how much they hate and despise God when at the same time they claim He does not exist. How can one hate what is not suppose to exist? That is the way evil is, very contradictory. When the error of what they are doing is pointed out, these very same individuals who want absolutely nothing to do with the Bible, attempt to use it to justify their actions. They will use partial verses and take entire sections out of context to try to justify themselves. Yet no matter what they say, the fact remains the same. Evil is still evil. Rejection of God is still going to bring everlasting damnation upon them if they believe in Him or not. One day they will come face to face with the fact that God is who He says he is.

We must stand up against evil and not listen to their petty arguments and attempts in trying to use the Bible to justify their rejection of God and His real teachings. We are to rebuke evil and all that is associated with it. We must stand firm in our conviction of God and not back down. The Bible clearly rejects all forms of evil and promotes morality and decency in all things, the way God wants us to be. The Bible, when taken in context, is always 100% correct, and is always the perfect guide for our lives. We must reject evil and follow God above all things!

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:11

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

07 April 2014

There is a great evil creeping its way into the Body of Christ. Once it has entered in it causes confusion and sin to enter within. There are members in the Body of Christ who have the ungodly notion that since they are saved they are better and more important than everyone else. It has no only infected the members of the church, but also church officers and the clergy as well. No one is better or more perfect or important than anyone else, not even those of us within the clergy. All of us would die in our sin if it were not for the Blood of Christ. Conceit, a tool of the devil, causes divisions within the church and starts to lead to compromise of Biblical teachings. Those that have allowed this evil to enter in and partake of it need to humble themselves immediately and come before God and sincerely repent and ask for forgiveness. Christians are not to act as if they are better than everyone else. Christians are to be humble in all things and set an example to those that are lost in the evils of the world.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Romans 12:16

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Isaiah 5:21

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:6

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:12

14 April 2014

Here at the Fellowship of Christ International we do not celebrate Easter. The Easter and what it represents, as celebrated by a majority of the world, has turned from the truth and turned to pagan practices and ideologies, replacing the true meaning of this special day, Resurrection Remembrance Day. The Easter that many celebrate has been corrupted, turned, and twisted so they no longer understand its real meaning. The Easter that many celebrate has taken away all that this special day represents and is to remind us of. It has taken away the truth and meaning of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of Christ, and replaced it with pagan ideas and notions, and has also been into a way for the manufacturers and store to commercialize it and make money from it. It is not about giving or receiving candy, sweets or trivial gifts that have nothing to do with this special day. It is about the fact that, if it were not for the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross and His resurrection, then all of us would be dying in our sins. Let us all stand up for the real significance of this special day and proudly and boldly tell the world the real truth of what this day is all about. HAPPY RESURRECTION REMEMBRANCE DAY!

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
1 Corinthians 15:12-19

There are many who have a problem with constantly dwelling on the things of the past. They dwell on the past so much that they seem to be stuck there. Being stuck in the past and blocking all else out, they are missing out on the things God had for them and the calling He has for them.

As Christians, we are not to be stuck in the past and dwell on things that we cannot redo or change. We are to move from the past and go forward. We are to look towards God, and know He has only the best in store for us. If something is troubling us or we have a problem moving past some obstacle, we are to ask God to help us and heal us if necessary. We are to listen to God’s words above all else and know that God has only the best in mind for us.

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Isaiah 43:18

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Philippians 3: 13

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

28 April 2014

Just a short while ago we celebrated Resurrection Remembrance Day in honor and remembrance of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. However many of the cults believe that Jesus Christ was not physically resurrected. They believe that he was resurrected as a spirit only. And that when He returns, He will return as a spirit. Unfortunately there are now some Christian churches that are teaching this same false doctrine and practice. This completely destroys the true meaning of all that Christ accomplished for us upon the Cross. It limits what the Blood of Christ has done for us all.

The fact is, Christ rose from the dead in the same body in which He died. His body was perfected at the time of the resurrection, but it was still the same body. When He later ascended into the heavens it was in the same physical body. When He returns, it will be in the same physical body, and not as a spirit. Do not give in to these false teachings and practices. If any church or organization compromises or changes on one of the key fundamental points of Biblical theology such as this, no matter what else they teach or believe, they should be completely avoided and you should have nothing to do with them.

Jesus said to His apostles:

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Luke 24:39

The angel said to the women:

…Why seek ye the living among the dead?
Luke 24:5

The angel said to the Apostles after Jesus was taken up:

…Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Acts 1:11

05 May 2014

There are many Christians who believe that once they are saved, Born-Again in the Blood of Christ, that they can do anything they want and repent of it later. This in and of itself is a sin. It is the misuse of the gift of repentance. Because it is done with every intention of continuing on as they have been. This is NOT true repentance. Then there are those who have heard the truth and followed it, then decided to reject it for one reason or another, and do what they want and not worry about the consequences. Lastly, there are those in the world who have heard the truth and just decided to reject it straight out and have nothing to do with it. All of these are wrong and ARE sin. God’s Judgment will come upon them if they want to believe it or not. It will come on them even harder because they have heard and knew the truth and rejected it for sin and evil.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 4:17

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:8

Here is the same verse in the American Standard Version:

But unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation,

The same verse once again, in the New International Version:

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

Many who hear the Word of God choose for one reason or another to reject it. Many do so to follow after false teachings and the ways of the world. They will come up with one excuse or another in an attempt to justify their actions. But in reality there is no legitimate or justifiable excuse that is acceptable. All are open rebellion and a giving in to evil over the truths of God.

When someone chooses the rejection of and rebellion against God and His Truths, God will allow greater falsehoods and false teachings to come their way. God allows this knowing that they will continue to spiral downward away from His Truths and at one point or another fall low enough to realize the need to come to know the One and Only Real God and His truths, and reject what they have been following after. For some this may bring them to rock bottom or close to it. God knows what is best and sometimes this is the only way that they may finally realize the error and sin they are involved in and bring them to know the One and Only True God. Others, no matter how low they go or how far they fall, will still reject God and His teachings. Even then they will eventually come to know who God really is. Unfortunately, it will be at Judgment as they are being cast out by God Himself.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

People look at churches and say, “That is a white church” or “That is a black church” or “that is a Hispanic church”, etc. According to the Bible all of these “manmade” designations are wrong. There is only ONE CHURCH, the Church that Jesus Christ Himself established. Christ did NOT care about the color of someone’s skin or what language they spoke. All these designations do is serve to cause separations, divisions, and barriers between all of the churches and those who are Christian. The Christian Church is NOT to be concerned about the color of a person’s skin or how they speak. The doors of the Church are to be opened to all regardless of race or heritage. There is NO such thing as a “white church” or a “black church.” In the Body of Christ, all of us are the same and all of us are to come together as one and worship the One and True Living God!

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:12

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:9

26 May 2014

There are several churches, well cults actually, that claim that somewhere along the lines of history that the true Christian Church ceased to exist. Then miraculously many years later, God revealed to their founder(s) His true Church and form of worship. They claim that that they and they alone are the one and only true church and all others are wrong. They further claim that the Bible that most people have is completely wrong and full of errors and that their version is the only true Bible. Their version of the Bible has simply replaced and reworded things from the real Bible so that they fit into their belief system. None of this however corresponds with the REAL teaching of the TRUE teaching of the Word of God as found in the Bible. God has promised us that His Church and His Word will always be here for us no matter what anyone tries to do. These cults simply choose to ignore these teachings as it shows the errors of their beliefs and practices. If any church claims that they are the only true church and only their members have salvation, this should serve as a red flag. They are NOT God’s True Church and do NOT practice the True teachings of the Word of God. As such they are evil and should be avoided completely.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:18-19

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:18

…the scripture cannot be broken;

02 June 2014

The world it seems loves to focus on negativity. There are those who seem to do nothing all day but complain about one thing after another, no matter how minor or trivial it may be. Unless they have something to complain and bicker about, they are not happy. Unfortunately this type of erroneous thinking and activity has found its way into the church. Many Christians do nothing but complain and complain, about one things or another and often create a big mess, usually over nothing. As Christians, we are to be above this. Negativity and negative people serve no useful purpose. All they do is bring people down, cause bickering among everyone, and serve to distract us from doing God’ Work and Will for our lives and for others. As well as cast doubts in people’s minds about God being in control and open the door for false teachings and beliefs to come within. As Christians, born-again in the Blood of Christ, we are to focus on the positive, the things that God has for us, and to follow after His Will. To those that are so negative, we must show them that we are here to serve God and focus our attention on Him and let Him take control of our lives, for He will lead us into the positive, into His ways, which are far better than anything the world has to offer.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Philippians 2:14

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned…

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Lately we have been seeing the various Courts and Governments around the world attempting to redefine things that God Himself has established and put into place. No one, not even the Courts or the Governments is above God. NONE of them have the authority to change what God has said or established. For example, God has established marriage as between one (1) man and one (1) woman only. But we see those who reject God trying to redefine it as something else. They claim that the teachings of the Bible are no longer valid and for an outdated unenlightened society. Biblical teachings are just as valid now as they were when God inspired those who wrote them down to do so. As Christians, we are to follow the Word of God and make NO compromises on His teachings. The world may go and try to change what God has said, but we know that no one can ever change the Holy and Inspired Words that God has given us.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
Mark 10:6-8

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband
1 Corinthians 7:2

God Himself tells us:

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

The world teaches us that we are not responsible for ourselves or our actions or the results of our actions. If something goes wrong and doesn’t work out right, we are not at fault. It is the fault of others, our parents, our siblings, friends or acquaintances, or society. In some instances it is the fault of an inanimate object. After all if we were to take responsibility for something that we did or for something that didn’t work out the way we wanted, then we would feel bad about it. According to the ways of the world, we are to feel good and happy about everything and not let anything get us down.

For example, if a child doesn’t do their homework it’s not their fault. It’s the fault of the video gave they just “had to play” or the television program they just “had to watch.” Or the nut who takes a gun and starts shooting people at random. It’s not his fault, it’s the fault of the gun. Does any of this make sense? Of course not. But then, the world wants to have everyone shift the blame and take no responsibility for themselves.

The Bible tells us that we are all responsible for our own actions. We are not responsible for the actions of others, just like they are not responsible for ours. By taking responsibility for ourselves, we are showing that we are responsible Christians. By taking responsibility for what we do, it gives us the opportunity to think things through before we act upon them and weigh the consequences of our actions.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:12

For every man shall bear his own burden.
Galatians 6:5

Here is the same verse in the New Living Translation:

For we are each responsible for our own conduct.

What once wanted to be left alone and stay in the shadows, is now forcing itself everywhere and into every aspect of life with an “in your face” attitude. But this is the way evil operates. It hides and waits and bides its time, then, when no one is expecting it, it comes out of the woodwork and attacks everyone that does not agree with it. As evil seems to grow and take over it becomes more and more corrupt and perverse. This happens to those who have continually rejected God and His teachings, and have freely chosen to follow evil and have allowed it to overcome them and be its pawns. As Christians, we know that any aspect of evil is NOT of God. No matter what they call it or no matter how much they try to sugar-coat it, evil is still evil. It is sin and rejection of God, and as such we are to have no part of it!

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:26-27

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Every day it seems, we see political leaders and even leaders within the Church, putting themselves and their personal beliefs above God and His teachings. They openly mock the God of the Bible, His teachings as found in the Bible, and the people who follow Him. They have the idea that they are more important than God and have the right to do and say as they choose. This is the same sinful notions of pride that Satan had, which led to his being cast out of heaven. God does not tolerate this kind of rebellion and when He decides to take action those who are guilty of it will take a great downfall. As Christians, we are to set an example to the world and continually humble ourselves in the Sight of God and do His Will and His Will alone. The world and its ways and rebellion against God will fail, but God will never let His People down.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 16:5

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:16

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:10

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

The world seems obsessed with the sin known as “political correctness.” They use it to sugarcoat sin and its results, as well as to control the way people see and perceive things. They will call one sin, “reproductive healthcare.” We call it the form of mass murder and serial killing known as abortion. The world calls it “gay, transgendered, gifted, and blessed.” We call it homosexuality. God calls it an abomination in His eyes. No matter how sweetly worded or disguised the world makes sin appear, or how alluring they make it, sin is still sin. Sin is rebellion against God, and as such is evil. It has no place in the lives of Christians and no place in Christianity or the Kingdom of God. As Children of the One and Only True living God, we MUST shun evil, take a stand against it, call it for what it is, and have nothing to do with it.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 18:22

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished…
… and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
Exodus 23: 7

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:22

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:11

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Many Christians, when faced with a trial or tribulation, question God as to why He is allowing this to happen, and if they did something to deserve it. God allows things to come into our lives as a way of teaching us and as a way to grow and to learn to trust and rely upon Him for all things. It is a way to strengthen us and prepare us for what may be ahead. Just like a sword being made, the blade is tempered and worked so it may become stronger and more capable for the purpose for which it was created. When we learn and grow we have a better understanding of God and His ways and what He has for us. It also gives us new knowledge and insights which we can use to help and guide others facing what we have endured and overcame. No matter what, we must remember that God is in control of all things, and that He will never abandon us in a time of need and will never allow more than we can handle to come our way.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
2 Corinthians 1:4-7

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

It seems that almost daily we hear from one church or organization or another bragging about itself and all the spiritual gifts it and its members have. I have even seen on that several times a week advertises on the television going on and on about the great numbers of people they heal and the variety of miracles that they cause to happen. Never ones do any of these places give the credit or glory to God, they just keep it for themselves.

It would be safe to say that at least 90% of these are FALSE claims and they probably experience no real spiritual gifts at all. There may be a few of these who do have real spiritual gifts, but bragging about themselves and going o the way they do is wrong! Spiritual gifts are not something to brag about or sensationalize. They are not something to draw attention to ourselves. They are not something to get rich off of. Those who do so are inviting the wrath of God upon themselves for misusing the gifts and the responsibility that comes with them He has bestowed upon them.

The best example of someone misusing their gifts is found in Numbers 22:21-39. It is the true story of Balaam, which you will find below.

I repeat, Gifts from God are not for bring attention to ourselves or lifting ourselves up above everyone else, or for special recognition. They are not to be used for monetary or material gain.

All four of the Gospels are full of the accounts of Christ, after he healed someone or preformed some other sort of miracle, He always told them to go their way and tell no one who did this. He did not want to draw attention to Himself. He did not want to take the credit for the miracles He had done or be praised for it. He wanted all the glory, praise and credit to go to God, where it rightly belongs. And so, we must follow the example Christ has set for us and never take the credit or praise for the spiritual gifts that have been given to us. We must give all credit, glory, and praise to God!

And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again. And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay. Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me: And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again. And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast. And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour? And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak. And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth.
Numbers 22:21-39

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

This week’s Scripture Lesson of the Week is part one of a two-part Scripture Lesson. Part two will be posted next week.

People look around and see friends, family, or associates that have things they do not have, but want. They are envious of people who have children, when they do not. They see people with large houses, swimming pools, and multiple cars and desire and crave the same things. There are people who seem to be on the go and constantly taking many trips, and they rarely go anyplace. This attitude and the thinking and accompanies it is not only ungodly and unbiblical, but is not healthy mentally. Even in the Ten Commandments God tell us not to “covet” (envy) what someone else has. By putting this as one of the Ten Commandments, God Himself is stressing the importance of not allowing this type of attitude into our lives. God gives us as He wants. Some he will give more, and others He will give less. If someone has something we do not have, it is no big deal. God knows what he is doing and it is not our place to question Him. We are to be happy with what we have and with what God has given us. With God’s help we are to stand up against and resist the sins of envy and focus all of our attention on God and his Will for us.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Exodus 20:17

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter 1:3

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Luke 12:15

This is the second part of a two-part Scripture Lesson of the week. Last week was part one, which looked at the Scriptures dealing with personal envy and jealousies. This week is dealing with envy and jealousy within the clergy and within the Body of the Church.

There are many pastors, evangelist, missionaries, and other members of the clergy that look upon how God is using and blessing others, and yet they seem to be going nowhere. This same attitude has crept its way into many Christian churches and organizations and ministries. They have the idea that they have been around longer and should be the ones God is using and giving the blessings to. Such an attitude is the reason God is not using them, and they are going nowhere. There is no place within the clergy or the Church for envy or jealousy, especially when it comes to jealousy as to how God is using someone and how they are growing and moving forward. There are even some who are so envious and jealous of another’s ministry and calling from God, that they will go about trying to sabotage, diminish and even attempt to stop what the other person or organization has and is doing, in hopes that God will give it to them. This will never happen as God would NEVER reward or bless this or any other type ungodly practice and evil. This is the ways of the world. When they see someone doing better than them or getting ahead, they seek to do what they can to stop it, and get it for themselves. What the world calls “professional jealousy”, we call “sin and rebellion against God”. When you see God using someone and yet you seem to be going nowhere, instead of getting jealous, you need to look within yourself and see what is holding you back. Then, you need to open your heart and mind and wait for God to instruct you and show you what He wants you to do and where He want you to go. Each of us has a specific calling from God and as His children it is our task to carry it out without grumbling or doubting, and trust that God will see us through.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
James 3:14

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:16

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Philippians 2:3

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
2 Corinthians 10:12

There are many, who when they believe they have a calling from God to do or say something or go into the ministry or even start a ministry, tell others what they want to do. Many of them respond back negatively and say that “it’s a waste of time”, “you can never do that”, “what you want to do won’t make a difference”, and so on. And then they never follow through because of the discouraging words of others. By failing to do as God has wanted them to do, they miss out on the many blessings He had waiting for them. If God has called you to do something, it does not matter what others may say or think. You are here to do God’s Will and not the will of others or to please them. When God calls you to do something, as long as you remain faithful to Him, He will provide a way to do it and see you through it to completion.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

25 August 2014

Many think that once they are saved, Born-Again in the Blood of Christ, that they do not have to worry about or do anything else. All that matters to them is their salvation and they are content with that and have no cares in furthering their walk with Christ or growing in their knowledge of God’s Word. Yes, they may have their salvation, but by just sitting there and being stagnant. They are missing out on so many experiences, blessings, and rewards.

One of the things that, we as Christians should be doing, is sharing with others what the Lord has done for us and the fact that we have His assurance of eternal life with Him. We must further be His representatives in an ungodly world that embraces the false promises enticing them from Satan, and show them that there is another way, the one and only TRUE way.

We must keep in mind that we are not saved by faith and works, or works, but by faith alone. We do the works to show the world what God has done in our lives by coming to Him through His Son Jesus Christ in faith. Anyone who says we are saved by both is in grave error.

The present condition of the world and the people in it, clearly shows the NEED for Christ and the promises of God. Let’s not sit down and ignore what is going on. We need to get out there and share the Truth of Christ and the teachings of God found in the Bible with those around us. Let’s get out there and make a difference so when our time comes to stand before God we hear Him say to us, “Well done my good and faithful servant”!!!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
2 Timothy 2:14-26

In today’s society, with all the fast paced rushing around, it is very easy for someone to become stressed. It seems most people get all stressed out and have a difficult time dealing with it and with the stress headaches that are associated with it. In today’s society everyone is familiar with the term, “He worried himself to death.” This is not what God wants for us. The Bible gives us several verses on dealing with stress and how to relive it and not let it bother us in the future. I pray that these passages from the Bible will be of great help to you and you will find the much needed relief you seek.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psalm 37:5

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30

When in the process of working on and completing a task, when we have a lot to do, sometimes we will feel the need to rush through it so we have time to complete the other things we have to do. Sometimes, even without a lot to do, we still feel the need to rush through what we are working on. This is how we make mistakes, some serious and some minor. Most if not all of these mistakes could have been easily been avoided if we just took our time and didn’t rush.

God never feels the need to rush. He takes His time with what He is doing because He has a timeline for everything, and does everything in its proper order. This is the example we should be following. By taking our time, but not being lazy and taking too much time, we can get a task done right the first time, and without errors or mistakes.

Let all things be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 14:40

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23

Whenever anyone publically or privately quotes the Bible in regards to sin and sinful lifestyles, those who are guilty of sin and rejecting God and his Words are quick to go on the defense and attack those who proclaim God’s truths. They will claim that by quoting the Bible that we are teaching hate and hatred towards others. Even though they reject the Bible and its teachings, they will often use it in an attempt to defend themselves and attack those who follow and proclaim God’s Words. The two verses they most often like to try to use in their futile effort at a Biblical defense are: “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1) and “Give none offence…” (1 Corinthians 10:32).

The way they attempt to use these verses as an effort to try to justify their sin and attack those who expose their sin for what it is, is taken out of context. These verses are talking about hypocritical and unrighteous judgment, and not proclaiming what God Himself has said in regards to sin.

God Himself has commanded us to continually preach His Word to all the world. We are to expose and call evil, immorality, and all other forms of ungodliness for what they are, sin and rebellion against God. If the world finds the Words of God offensive, so be it. God has told us that those who are offended by His Word are those who have rejected Him, His teachings, and the ways of righteousness.

Be bold. Stand up against evil and its teachings. Do not be afraid to take a stand and expose the evils the world has embraced for what they really are, rebellion against and rejection of God Himself.

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psalm 94:16

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended
Matthew 13:21

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
1 Peter 2:8

22 September 2014

With as difficult as things are in the world today, especially for Christians and even more so for those in the ministry, there are those who feel the need to put barriers or stumbling blocks into your path. Not all of these barriers are physical ones. Some of them may include, but are not limited to, mental, emotional, and in some cases even spiritual.

Some of these people may look at a person and try to dissuade them because they may have a physical or mental handicap. Others, base what they say or do upon how someone was raised, or a family situation, or even how they were before they became Saved through the Blood of Christ.

For example, someone from a broken home, may hear others tell them, “You grew up without a father, you will never accomplish much.” Some may tell a slow reader, “You take too long to read or understand, you will never be able to do the things you say you want to.” Others will look a person and try to place limits on them and tell them they cannot do things because of a physical or mental handicap.

Who are they to say such things and what gives them the right? Usually such individuals are nobodies and no one has such a right whatsoever. How is saying these things beneficial to anyone? It is not. In fact, what they are saying and doing to others, according to real Biblical teaching, is called SIN! The Bible further tells us that we are to focus on the good and try to life others up, and not bring them down. As for what a person may or may not have done, that does not matter, and bringing it up has no value in the here and now. When we come to Christ and become Born-Again in His Blood, we become a new person and our old selves no longer exist. If someone tries to talk you down or belittle you, don’t even let it go in one ear and out the other. Because as it does pass through, some of it may remain there. We are to ignore it and let it bounce off of us as if we were made of rubber. Encourage one another. Lift one another up, and if someone needs a helping hand, let them find our being offered to them.

Giving no offence [stumbling block] in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
2 Corinthians 6:3

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Romans 14:13

Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:14

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
1 Corinthians 8:9

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11

29 September 2014

There are many Christians who have adopted the erroneous notion that once they are saved, Born-again in the Blood of Christ, that they are free to do as they want and are automatically forgiven any sins they commit. These same individuals also believe that any sin they do commit that if, for one reason or another, God hasn’t forgiven them, that they can justify it before God. Well guess what? That is completely WRONG and goes against Biblical teaching, as well as making a mockery of the Gifts of Repentance and Forgiveness. There is no defense against sin. Any sin, no matter what it is, is still sin, and as such is evil in the eyes of God!

Yes we may be saved by the Blood of Christ and have our salvation through faith alone, but that does NOT give us the right to go out there and commit sin anytime we want. As Christians, we are to be above all of that and set an example to those in the world who are lost in darkness.

Real repentance of sin is when we bring it before God ourselves, not through a priest or by proxy or through man, and honestly and sincerely ask God for His forgives for the wrong we committed, knowing we cannot do any task or work to remove the sin ourselves. If we are being genuinely sincere before God, then and only then are we genuinely forgiven our sins.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:26-27

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
Romans 3:8

Whenever something happens to us, it could either be something good or something bad, we often ask, “Why me God?” This one question can have two meanings. For many, when they ask, “Why me God?” what they are really asking is, “What did I do wrong to deserve this God?” Yet for others, they are asking, “Thank you God. What did I do to receive such a blessing?”

It is not necessarily what we may or may not have done. God allows both good and bad things to happen for a reason. Many times things that come across our path, or enter into our lives, are there to teach us something or to prepare us for something in the future. God, who is perfect in all His ways, know exactly He is doing and what is best for us. So who are we to question God and His wisdom? We have no right whatsoever. We must trust in Him at all times and through all things, no matter what.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Timothy 3:16

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

In this world that seems to have gone mad, we see a majority of the people turning their back on God. It seems as if evil is running wild with no concerns for anyone or anything other than itself. The homosexual community, which is compromised of only an extremely small percentage of the world’s population, acts as if it can do anything it wants, without suffering any repercussions for their actions.

What God Himself has declared as “evil” and an “abomination: has literally infected every aspects of living. They have openly worked to destroy what God Himself established as the only real marriage (between one man and one woman only), and are pushing their version and mockery of real marriage, which they call “same sex marriage” upon everyone.

The government, at all levels, seems to be embracing and supporting it. We see government officials ignoring and outright breaking the law to silence Christians and attempting to censor what pastors preach from the pulpit, in an attempt to silence those who stand up against this evil.

We even see many churches compromising on and ignoring core Christians beliefs and Biblical teachings, and welcoming them into the Church and allowing their evil to dictate Scripture and Christian teaching.

Many people, yes including Christians, are afraid to stand up and say “no” to this evil. It seems as if many are turning their backs on this evil and ignoring it and pretending they are being good Christians. Why are people afraid to take a stand against this evil? It is because they are afraid of the name calling, attacks, threats, slander, Etc., that this and other evil uses in an attempt to silence those who proclaim the Word of God and stand up against evil. People are afraid of how the world may see them, and they do not want to look bad in the eyes of the world.

Many of those who refuse to stand up against evil often use the totally worthless excuse of, ”As Christians we are not to take a stand on social issues.” What social issues? What they call “social issues” the Bible calls “spiritual issues,” and as such we must always take a stand against evil. All of this was foretold long ago by Christ Himself. He also told us that when we see these things happening that the end is very near.

As Christians we must always take a stand against evil, and must always stand up for and proclaim the Word of God, no matter what anyone may think or say. We must continue to show the Light of Truth, Christ’s Light, in this ever-darkening world. We must say “NO” to evil and “YES“ to God!

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psalm 94:16

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 17:28-30

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Jude 1:7

Nearly every church is more than willing to tell their congregation as well as others what it is they believe and practice, which is great. However, most churches no longer teach their members why they believe what they do, where to find the appropriate Scripture(s) backing up what they believe, and how to defend their beliefs from attack by others, especially cults and false religions. The cults are very well versed in the Bible. Many of them have members that go door to door soliciting new members. When they come across someone who is willing to talk with them they start asking questions about what the other person believes. After a few questions they have a good idea of what the other person believes and what their mindset is. Once they know this they have a very specific and carefully established way of attacking the person’s beliefs. They start out with additional specific questions and start using many Bible passages that are taken completely out of context, and attempt to put doubt and confusion into the other person’s mind. Once they do this, then they start in with even more of their false doctrines and teachings. Without knowing why you believe what you do, where to find it in the Bible, and how to defend it against attack, you are likely to become their newest victim as well as member. This is why so many real Christian churches are losing members and the cults are gaining new ones. Churches need to get back to teaching apologetics to its members and make sure that each and every one of them understands what is being taught and explained. If your church or place of worship does not teach apologetics, talk to your pastor and explain the importance of doing so with them. Only this way will Christians grow and mature and be secure in their walk with Christ and be able to turn away the attacks from false religions and teachings.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…
Hosea 4:6

…they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

Study to shew thyself approved unto God…
2 Timothy 2:15

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Many Christians have adopted the erroneous notion that once they became Saved, washed clean of their sins through the Blood of Christ, that they are now above the law, man’s law. This is especially true of federal taxation laws. They believe that they are now better and above all else. Well they are in for a surprise because sooner or later the authorities will come knocking at their door. In the Bible is an example of how Christ and the Apostles obeyed the taxation laws of their time. So we must do likewise.

The only time we are scripturally required to ignore and disobey man’s laws is when they come into conflict with the Laws of God, either directly or indirectly. Here are a few examples so you understand what this is referring to. If all Bibles and teaching of Scripture is outlawed, we, as Christians, must go right on preaching the Word of God. If the laws of man required Christian ministers to perform or participate in so-called same-sex weddings, as Christians we must refuse to take part, no matter how they threaten to punish us for not complying. If the law required everyone, especially Christians, to endorse and support the form of serial killing and mass murder, which they also call reproduction health care, know as abortion, we must stand firm in our Christian faith and refuse. These are but a few examples of how man’s laws may come into conflict with the Laws of God. No matter what man’s laws say, the Law of God must come before and above all else!

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
Matthew 22:17-21

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
Matthew 17:24-27

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Acts 5:29

There are many churches and their congregations that call themselves Christian. They know the Holy Scriptures and they know how to say the right things. However, they have this attitude about them that they are better than everyone else. They believe that because they tell everyone they are Christian that they are better than them. They claim that because they are Born-Again and have been washed clean in the Blood of Christ, that they are better than everyone and can treat them that way.

They will even go so far as to belittle, harass, and intimidate those who do not belong to their church. To them, everyone is beneath them and they have the right to do whatever it takes to bring them over to their side. Because of their arrogance and attitude they will often approach those who are not members and start off with, “I don’t want to cause problems or trouble but…” of “Why do you go to such and such Church when…” An then they start going into their rhetoric about they alone have the real and whole truth and everyone else is wrong and how they are so much better than all of the other churches.

This attitude and these types of actions are completely ungodly and unscriptural. No one is better than or above anyone else, not even Christians. In the Eyes of God each and every one of us is the same, all are totally equal. As Christians, we must humble ourselves before God and before others. We are not to have a “holier than thou attitude.” We are to set an example to those who are not saved, and especially not treat them as second class humans.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:10

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:6

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:10

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 18:10-14

There are many Churches and Ministries that claim to be of God, and yet their teachings seem to be a mixture of Biblical truths and their own false teachings. At first, most of what they tell you will be mostly Biblical truth, but slowly over a lengthy period of time they will tell you less and less Biblical truths and more and more of their lies and false teachings. This is done so slowly most people will never even notice this is what being done to them. Before long, what they tell you will be nothing but their own false theology, but by then the brainwashing they have slowly been putting you through has taken effect and you will believe anything they tell you.

If you ask question or show signs of doubting or being skeptical of what you are being told, they will tell you that it is Satan entering into you causing these doubts and you must believe everything they tell you so he will flee from you. In other words, they want you to have blind faith in all they tell you and not question a thing.

God does NOT want us to have blind faith in Him or in His teachings. God has given each of us a brain and wants us to use it. He wants us to know what we believe and why we believe it. We are to ask questions, ask for resources of their teachings and check the Scriptures to see if what they are telling us is accurate. If they contradict Biblical teaching, even in just a point or two, we are to have nothing to do with them.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7:15

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:5

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:5

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 1:16

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21

…they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

The world seems to have gone crazy. It embraces immorality over morality, evil over good. It is endorsing the form of mass murder and serial killing known as abortion. Many churches and Christians seem to be turning a blind eye to what is taking place. They have allowed a compromise on Christian beliefs and practices to enter within the church. This is NOT what God has intended for us. As Christians, we must stand up against evil no matter what. We are to have no part of evil or the world following after it, this also includes compromising on Biblical teaching. Evil is evil no matter what you call it. God has told us that there is no place in the Kingdom of God for evil, which also includes the Church. We must not allow a compromise of Biblical principles into the Church and we must stand firm against any and all evil. We are to resist the world and its evil ways. We are to follow God and His teachings above all else, no matter what the cost. We must trust is God and God alone, and know He will watch over and protect us as long as we remain faithful. We must remember that God is always in control of everything! That His Will is above all else!

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psalm 94:16

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:11

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:22

Here is the same passage from the American Standard Version of the Bible:

abstain from every form of evil.

Here is the same passage in the New International Version of the Bible:

reject every kind of evil.

This coming Thursday is Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day was once a time for families and friends to get together and have a nice meal and be thankful and praise God for all He has given them, even the little things everyone takes for granted. But it is not like that anymore. Somewhere over the years its meaning has totally change, and for the worse. Now, it is all about eating so much that you are about to get sick, drinking lots and lots of beer, watching football game on the television and screaming, yelling, and cussing at the television set, and waiting all night in lines in sub-freezing temperatures until the store you want to go into opens and you can spend all of your money getting things for a reduced price.

It is time to get rid of this gluttony, the lust of greed for more and more, and the bad attitudes, and get back to what Thanksgiving was originally intended to be. Thanksgiving is time to thank God for all he has given us and made us responsibly for. We take so many of God’s blessings for granted. We need to stop and think about all of the little things in our lives and the little things God has given us, and tank Him for all He has given us. It is time to tell the department stores “No” and stay home with our families as we should be doing, and not waiting all night in freezing weather.

A friend of mine has summed up the real meaning of Thanksgiving Day in the few below words, which is also a prayer that each and every one of us needs to say over and over again to God, not just on Thanksgiving, but on every day:

The greatest prayer that you can ever pray has only three words, THANK YOU GOD!
– Bishop Dr. Michael A. Coleman

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5:20

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psalm 103:2

As Christians, we are to accept all things through faith, as God has commanded us to do. The world however, has a difficult time understanding the Christian concept and fact of faith. To them it is utter nonsense and a fairy tale. No matter what the world thinks and says, we must have faith and know that God is in control of all things. If it were not for faith, all of us would be dead in our sins and the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross would be meaningless. But through the gift of faith, God has given us the means for repentance and salvation through His Son. We see the world, every day, getting worse and being swallowed up in an ever increasing darkness as they continually reject God and follow the ways of evil. We must set an example to the world and show them all that God has bestowed upon us through faith. Through faith, God has made us His children, and through faith God will see us through all things. And through faith, God will fulfill ALL of the remaining prophecies in His Word, the Holy Bible, and then, the world will see once and for all that God is the God of all things.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8

For we walk by faith, not by sight
2 Corinthians 5:7

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:5-9

08 December 2014

Many people, especially those who have rejected God often ask, “If God is so loving and caring then why does He send people to hell?” The answer to that question is simple, God never sends anyone to hell (everlasting damnation). People end up there of their own free will and their own choice, by their rejection of God and His Son Jesus Christ. God wants everyone to receive everlasting life and salvation with Him, through His Son Jesus Christ. All God asks is that we believe and accept His Son as our Lord and Saviour. Unfortunately for many that is just too easy, too simplified. So many churches are infected with manmade doctrines and teachings, that the true teachings regarding salvation is so distorted and blurred, that many of their members cannot see the truth. They are being led away from eternal salvation and down the path towards everlasting damnation.

Many churches will tell you that certain works, deeds, or rites are required for salvation. This is more nonsense and outright lies! We are saved by faith through Jesus Christ and faith alone. No one can do anything or earn their way to salvation and eternal life. Anyone who claims so is following the teachings of Satan and is not part of the Kingdom of God, and as such we are to have no part of them.

As True Christians, born-again and washed clean in the Blood of Christ, when we see error we must call it for what it is and proclaim God’s true teachings over all else. Many may not like it, but we are not here to serve or please them. We are here to serve God and proclaim His Truths before Satan and his teachings and followers lead more down the path to death and everlasting damnation.

[God] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:4

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. [Many false churches are guilty of this!]
2 Timothy 3:5

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

15 December 2014

A vast majority of the word has chosen to reject God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the teachings of the Holy Bible. Some will even say if God did exist, He does not exist now, or that they have outgrown Him and He is no longer needed. They have no idea what they are doing or talking about. If they did, they would repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour now before it’s too late.

They ignore what is permanent and eternal and seek after what is temporary and perishable. They have lost all sense of what is really important and traded it away for delusion and falsehood. One day soon, they will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and that God is who He said he was. Either as they come before God for eternal life and reward, or they come before Him to be cast out into everlasting damnation. But either way they will Know His as God of everything and everybody.

As we see Bible warnings and prophecies being fulfilled daily, it stresses the importance of spreading the Word of God and His Son Jesus Christ. We must spread the Truth of the Light in an ever darkening and sinful world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1 John 4:2-3

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 4:11

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Philippians 2:10

He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
Luke 10:16

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:8

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15

22 December 2014

In a few days those of us who are Christians will be celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Many in the world reject Christ and say He never existed and that He was just a myth, a fairy tale. No matter what they claim, the fact still remains, God sent His only Son to be born as one of us, live as one of us, and die on the cross as the perfect sacrifice, opening the way to eternal salvation and life with God.

The world has taken this Holy Day and turned it around, making it a mockery of what God has truly intended for us. To the world it is a day of getting more and more from everyone, and everyone trying to outdo everyone else. When in reality, it is about the remembrance of the One and Only Perfect Gift that God Himself has given us, His Son Jesus Christ. Do not get caught up in the foolishness that the rest of the world is participating in. Look to God and thank Him for His Perfect Gift, which continually gives, and given us the gifts of Repentance and Salvation. These are the only TRUE and REAL gifts that matter.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8

29 December 2014

In a few days the New Year will be upon us. The old will end and the new will begin. The New Year will bring a new start and a new beginning. Everyone will be taking down the old calendars and putting up new ones. Clean with no writing upon them. It is the same way when we are Born-Again in Christ. We come to Christ, and He makes us new and clean. His blood makes us a white as snow, pure and clean. We are no longer the same person, but a new being, a new creature in Christ. We must put away the old things, the things we chased after and the things we wanted. We now have a new focus and a new purpose, that if serving Christ and dong God’s Will. We are to be no longer concerned with temporary earthly things. We now focus on heavenly and eternal things, the things of God and of His Son Jesus Christ. If you have been saved and washed clean in the Blood of Christ, make this New Year a time to continue a more strongly walk in Christ, or to re-dedicate yourself to following God and doing His Will. If you haven’t done so before, I urge you to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. As the New Year is about to start, why not make a new life in Jesus Christ?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:3-6

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
