From a sermon given on 27 October 2024:
And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:
(Genesis 47:5)
The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle
(Genesis 47:6)
"The story of Joseph emphatically emphasize that all is well that ends well. If something has a good result or finally succeeds, previous problems are not important" (Cambridge Dictionary)
Jacob had already concluded that a vicious animal had torn Joseph, his favorite son into pieces. Even as Jacob mourned his son, Joseph was very much alive and on his way to the top in Egypt.
At the end of it all, Jacob is reunited with his favorite son Joseph. They settle in the best part of Egypt - Goshen (A place of comfort and plenty). Jacob lives another seventeen years enjoying the best of Egypt.
May be your previous chapter was surrounded by much negativity, uncertainty, fear and sorrow. You just have to believe that where you are right now is a preparation ground for where God is taking you. Cheer up because the best chapter of your book is still being written. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
(Isaiah 43:18-19)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
